at first  if you want to build an            Build an aquarium we should know what kinds of aquariums you want 

.a fresh water saltwater or etc

if you want to make a sump for salt water fish you need some things which use on salt water aquariums like  Skimmer. A sump full of the needed vitamins of fish and etc

so but if you want an amateur tank     for freshwater you need sodium chloride which you can buy from pet shops and a bactozim liquid 

and for your sump you can buy activate carbon.bioball.bio pearls and etc but it depends on your fish that your fish are peaceful or wild fish like Oscar green terror and etc

so at all have a good time and enjoy your life
